Cooking Tips

Snake River Farms Kurobuta baby back ribs are succulent, juicy and tender. Our Kurobuta baby back ribs are smaller than conventional baby back ribs but are juicy and bursting with pork flavor. These ribs are 100% purebred Berkshire pork, known as Kurobuta in Japan.

Order at least one rack per person and keep in mind it's rare to have a guest complain about having too many ribs.

The membrane found on the bone side of all pork ribs is not removed. Kurobuta ribs are smaller in size than conventional pork, and we do not recommend them for competitions.

Average weight: 1 lb.

What is Kurobuta Pork?

Kurobuta is a heritage breed with flavor superior to commodity pork. This premium pork is known as Berkshire in England and Kurobuta in Japan, where it is considered the culinary equivalent of Wagyu beef. Kurobuta contains abundant marbling for a heightened flavor profile and higher pH which creates a deep pink color and an increased moisture content. The result is pork with robust juicy flavor, tender texture and a hint of natural sweetness.
