Cooking Tips

Make amazing smash burgers at home with these special 4 oz. patties made with our special Pioneer blend for rich flavor and a hearty texture. Our pre-made patties are handy and reduce the time and effort to go from start to finish.

Our Pioneer blend is a custom combination of 60% chuck, 20% brisket and 20% ribeye cuts. The lean and fat percentages are 75% (lean) and 25% (fat). This is a winning combination that creates the signature crust and flavor you expect from a gourmet smash burger.

Four 4 oz. (1/4 lb.) patties per pack.

Season your burger generously with kosher salt and fresh ground pepper.

Heat a large pan or heavy skillet on a burner set to high. When the pan is very hot, place patty on the surface and quickly smash so it is thin and slightly wider than the hamburger bun. Cook until the burgers are seared on the bottom and the tops are pale – about one minute.

Use a flat metal spatula to separate the burger from the grill (you want to keep all the crispy brown bits) and flip. Immediately add a slice of cheese. Allow patties to cook briefly, about 15 seconds. Stack them and transfer to a burger bun. Serve immediately.
