30-Minute Ground Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds SRF Ground Beef

  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 ½ tablespoons minced garlic

  • 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 4 cups small broccoli florets

  • rice, for serving

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger and cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water. Set the sauce aside.

  2. Add the ground beef to a large skillet set over medium heat. Brown the meat, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it is no longer pink.

  3. Add the broccoli and cook, stirring occasionally, until it is crisp-tender, about 4 minutes.

  4. Drain any grease from the pan then add the prepared sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook, stirring, for 1 minute until the sauce thickens slightly. Spoon over rice and serve.
