Ingredients
-
½ cup honey
-
½ cup pineapple juice
-
⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce
-
2 tablespoons minced garlic
-
1 teaspoon cornstarch
-
4 Kurobuta boneless pork chops
-
2 tablespoons avocado oil
Directions
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, pineapple juice, soy sauce, garlic and cornstarch. Set the mixture aside.
Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.
Add the avocado oil to a large cast-iron or stainless steel skillet set over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and cook on one side until they golden brown and release naturally from the pan, about 5 minutes. Flip the pork chops once and continue cooking until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (or your preferred temperature), about 5 minutes.
Transfer the pork chops to a plate to rest and leave all drippings in the skillet.
Whisk in the honey-garlic mixture then bring the sauce to a boil. Boil, undisturbed, until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 2 minutes.
Spoon the sauce over the pork chop and serve.
